Hey Wendy,
The crash sucked but Im starting to improve pretty dramatically (it seems). I was out for what was supposed to be a chill mountain bike ride and got caught out when I hit a little dip right before a water bar. I think the combination of going too fast, not being focused enough to have seen it, and being tired contributed to a complete endo. I was in a pretty bad way Wednesday through Saturday mid afternoon when I decided to get outside and take a walk. I had to do something to get the blood moving again even though each breath and every footfall were painful. When I got done with that I felt a lot better so I promised myself a bike ride on Sunday. With the exception of some pain on rough patches of road, and a few deep breaths that were pretty harsh on some moderate climbs I felt OK. I didnt ride very fast mind you, but I was out, and moving. So that gave me some hope. Im going to try a short, easy run this evening and then try getting in the water again tomorrow morning. My hope is to still make it through my remaining planned races for the year. Although I might have to relax my time goals a little now, but I still want to be able to do the events. I have to say that if I continue to improve at this rate, the Long Course event is probably going to be the most iffy in terms of my ability to put down any sort of decent time, but I would hope that by the Harvestmoon Half Iron in September that I might be back on form. Well see though
.My fingers are crossed!
